(T)rain or shine!
As long as the conditions are deemed safe, we take our campers outside to explore the city. Usually that means we’ll be jumping around on a beautiful and sunny summer day, but sometimes we end up with a rainy afternoon.
One of the core beliefs in parkour is to be strong to endure, and weathering a rain shower or two is part of that! Our coaches are experienced in training and coaching in rain, snow, winds, and everything in-between. By teaching simple movement progressions, staying aware of slippery surfaces, and learning the basics of how to fall safely, our campers keep can stay active even in a torrential downpour!
Unsafe weather?
We follow the same guidelines as the NY DOE and will cancel in the event of extreme weather. Severe lightning, flash flooding, or any other weather conditions that post an inherent risk to the safety of our campers or coaches will default to a day of online camp. Our team will contact you by 6:00 AM the morning of camp if we plan to switch to online camp for the day.
Keeping dry
Our coaches know plenty of spots under cover so campers can eat lunch and dry off, however campers should bring appropriate rain gear if there’s a chance of any inclement weather. We recommend a rain jacket, a poncho, an umbrella, and some waterproof shoes (or a change of socks).
